Erica Heagy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. She received her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University and Master of Science in Nursing at the University of San Francisco. Erica recently moved back to Alaska after practicing medicine in California and Oregon for the past 18 years. She has worked in gastroenterology for the past 15 years at The Oregon Clinic in Portland, Oregon. She sees general gastroenterology and specializes in IBD and is a preferred provider with the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation (CCF). Erica is faculty with the American Gastroenterology Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a member of several organizations, including the American Nurses Association. Recently Erica became the care coordinator for the RADIUS program in the Northwest, a program dedicated to partnering with local Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) providing specialty IBD care to rural areas.
